Families Reinforce the Journey
RSA strengthens rather than replaces the family role. Parent and caregiver involvement is light, practical and age-appropriate, helping boys carry selected learning from the programme into everyday life.
A Partnership with Families
RSA strengthens rather than replaces the family role. Parent and caregiver involvement is light, practical and age-appropriate, helping boys carry selected learning from the programme into everyday life.
Parents and caregivers may take part through orientation, consent, selected Parent–Son Practice Agreements, pre- and post-experience briefings and future-readiness conversations.
Foundations usually emphasises listening, encouragement, routines and visible responsibility. Transition more often addresses trust, privacy, boundaries, money, study/work, transport and greater independence.

Questions Parents Often Ask
Find quick answers about participation, consent, Professional Mentors, family involvement and support.
Will I know what my son is joining?
Yes. Parents and caregivers receive information before participation and provide consent before a boy joins.
Can my son participate if we do not agree to photos or videos?
Yes. Programme participation and media participation are separate. Media consent is handled separately.
Will mentors contact my son privately?
No. RSA does not allow private contact arrangements outside approved programme channels.
Do parents see their son's private journal?
RSA does not routinely ask parents to inspect private journal content. Safety concerns are handled through the safeguarding route.
What happens after the programme?
After Foundations, a boy may later enter Transition when eligible. After Transition, suitable RSA Network, service, career exposure, alumni or other opportunities may be available where approved.
Is this therapy?
No. RSA is a structured developmental programme, not an accredited academic, clinical or therapeutic service. Where professional support is needed, RSA follows the agreed referral process.
