Media Is Separate from Programme Delivery

How We Approach Media

Every story, image and recording should protect the dignity, safety and privacy of the boys and families involved.

01

Separate Consent

Programme participation and media participation require separate consent. A boy may take part in RSA without taking part in media.

02

Safety First

Private reflections, welfare matters and sensitive disclosures are not media content.

03

Responsible Storytelling

Stories should protect participant dignity and avoid sensationalism. Participant dignity comes before storytelling.

04

Programme Comes First

A boy’s participation and experience come before any camera, interview or media activity.

05

Reach Is Not Impact

Media reach is reported as communications reach, not developmental impact.
